Perfect for those who frequent the park. Our mission for FOND volunteers is three-fold
Preserve the longevity of the park for years to come by helping to make sure our neighbors adhere to the rules
Provide the FOND Board advice and input on oversight, care, monitoring, and maintenance of the park
Assist the community in enforcing the regularly scheduled hours of the park.
Volunteers will first attend a 30-minute orientation at the park, receive a FOND t-shirt, and be given access to our SLACK channel for communication. We will also have an annual Volunteer Appreciation Happy Hour to thank you for your time and contributions.
Graphic Design & Photography
We are currently seeking a graphic designer with CSS knowledge and/or a photographer who can work with our webmaster (a board member/volunteer) to improve our website. The graphic design work can be done remotely and during your free time. FOND can provide you an annual letter recognizing your “in-kind” donations of services. If you are interested, please email
Certified Public Accountant or Tax preparer
FOND is looking for an experienced CPA or tax preparer to give input on the future direction of the organization, its activities, and the preservation and longevity of Swampoodle Park. The primary duties of this individual would include filing our annual 990-N with the IRS, renewing our BBL every two-years, determining if FOND would annually need a D.C. Charitable Solicitation License, and filing our biennial report with DCRA. FOND can provide you an annual letter recognizing your “in-kind” donations of services. If you are interested, please email
